It's hot! Summer has finally arrived here. Unfortunately many days in June, my favourite month (I love the early summer with its roses and strawberrys) were rainy and too cold. But now it's almost too hot and so sticky...
I go for a swim almost every day, I've got a season ticket for my hometown's open air bath and really enjoy swimming 1000 metres per day in the morning or evening

Unfortunately my application for a position as a trainee teacher for the new school year has been rejected by education authority, the marks I got in my final exams at the university were good, but not good enough. The german grading system uses numbers from 1 to 6, my overall average grade is a 1,73... But a waiting period is not unusual (I know people who had to wait one and a half year), although there aren't enough teachers here in Hesse. A strange situation...
So I will continue to work as a homework supervisor at a comprehensive school and was also offered a job at a child care center in the town where I already work This will start after the summer holidays at the end of August oder in September.

The holidays are going to begin next week and i'm looking forward to trips, BBQs, afternoons at the swimming pool in my grandmother's garden etc.
